Staycation.

I’m on a staycation this weekend.
The definition of “Staycation” is as follows: A vacation spent in one’s home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions. — Merriam Webster

Next week my REAL summer starts.
My quiet agency will begin filling up with the sounds of children’s laughter, rehearsals for the musical that I’m in start, AND my church’s child/neighborhood outreach begins (I’m the worship leader). I wish I could tell you that I’m excited, but I’m just not right now.

I’ve somehow gotten a little cold & on top of that, Taylor is back in the hospital.
I desperately wish that I could be in Bloomsburg this weekend with him, but I just couldn’t bring myself to travel. So much to get done. I know that his family will be with him & that makes me feel much better.

ANYWAY, I just needed to STAY around HERE this weekend.
Thus, my lonely little “staycation”
So far, I’ve printed my scripts, ate sushi with my Granny, cuddled my pups, read a book, and bought some Vera Bradley. So far I’d say that this weekend is going quite successfully.

I think that every so often it’s important for us to slow down.

Find time for a staycation by yourself or with someone you love.
